White Checkered

How could you paint a bl & white checkered flag on the wall. by taping it off or the easiest way.?

I’m doing a mural of a corvette in my brother-in-laws bathroom. He has a 2005 silver corvette and I’m going to do a mural of the complete side and the rear end in the front wall. He owns one and the help I need is how is the eaist way to paint black & white checkered flag by useing tape. Thanks for any help

A checkerboard pattern using tape [all straight lines] could be pretty boring and look like a chessboard on a stick. Why not try for a checkered flag in motion. Put in some curves and folds. This will make the task easier because you are producing a more dynamic form, painterly and naturalistic. Any little errors will be less obvious and you could create some movement which will contrast with the static image of the car. Do some drawings of a checkered flag using a ruler and marker pens, cut it out and fold it as if it were waving in the breeze, then copy the shapes onto your mural. I think you might like the result.
