Is there a tool that can be used to reach about 30 ft. high to grab hold of a branch?

I need to be able to hang onto the branch while friend cuts branch so that once the branch, which is about 30 ft. high, doesn’t crash an expensive hole in the roof of the house. Where could I find such a tool? Hopefully the tool would be lightweight aluminum and telescoping, i.e., adjustable length so I could fit it into the back of my truck. Thanks knowledgeable people.

Rope it is! String it over a higher sturdy branch and secure it to the branch being cut. After it’s cut, you can safely lower it to the ground. You will not find anything that will telescope 30 ft and be sturdy enough.
