Why do we Americans take life for granted?

Wow, as I look at the horror in the streets of Tehran, I cannot be anymore thankful to our ancestors who fought for our freedom against the dangerous British regime, and for the average American who works hard to make America the best country in the world. People face continous threat and horror in England, Poland, Croatia, Middle-East, Asia, whereas we Americans live in comfort. Why do we take our lives and our freedoms for granted? After all’s said and done, America is the best country in the world. No doubt.

Speak for yourself. I take nothing for granted except the water in the microwave that won’t boil faster.
