Which states in USA are least temperamental & stable with its climate?

I am considering which state in USA to pursue my graduate studies. With the recent few hurricanes making headlines, I want to be cautious not to get killed by some freak weather before I graduate.

Come to Arizona!!

The summers are hot but it’s dry and the rest of the year is nice!! It doesn’t rain as much here as California.

Look into your grad studies at Arizona State University in Tempe or University of Arizona in Tucson(I went here).
