Can you join the United States Coast Guard with a guaranteed job?

I want to be an HS in the Coast Guard. What are the requirements?
Any advice? I got a 67 on my asvab. I plan on retaking it. I made HUGE mistakes, I could’ve got an 80.
Please give me any advice. I want any info you have. I have researched on the CG site, but I need info from others. Thank you

Right now we aren’t offering ANY guaranteed A Schools. This being said, we also don’t FORCE you to be in a rating that you don’t want. You’ll know if you qualify to be an HS before you EVER sign any paperwork for us – and if you qualify, there’s no reason to retake the test. As long as you qualify, just wait until you make E-3 and you can put your name on the waiting list – along with everyone else that wants to be an HS.

As of the 15th of January, there is an 18-24 month wait to get to school, which isn’t that bad.
