Why is the second amendment important to the United States of America?

This is a question i would like all of you to ponder……Why is the second amendment so important to the United States of America? i just want 3 reason WHY its important to us in the United States. Please hurry..i rlly need to know this by today..and i would be very very happy if u answered!

A well regulated militia—The goal
b. being necessary to the security of a free State,—The reason
c. the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.—The means of accomplishing the goal.

Even though self defense and home defense, hunting are indirect benefits, the Second Amendment was to keep the power in the People’s hands and not the politicians who we elect.

If the First Amendment doesn’t work, the 2nd will.
