State Cyclones
Is it just me or are forecasters ignoring a weird part of the weather?
The weather in the midwest is continually sucking. Am I the only one to notice the giant spinning cyclone on the radar? It’s just slowly rotating east over Missouri right now (about the size of the state) throwing out bad weather east of it like a ninja star. WTF?! TV reporters aren’t even acknowledging it. It’s the weirdest looking low pressure cell I’ve ever seen, besides that of May 8, 2009.
Does anyone have any thoughts or knowledge to share?
Yes, that low pressure system is the same one that brought some some very cold and wet storm in the west. and a major winter storm over the higher elevations. Usually when we get such a strong storm in the west this time o the year, they would move to the west and become a monster when they move into the Midwest. I afraid that this will continue and another strong low pressure system just move through the western states producing at least 6 tornado in northern California today. I would think that this low will follow the last low pressure systems and become a major severe weather maker once it gets past the Rockies. There storms are much stronger than what we normally get out west at this late of the season. With the strong jet dipping into the midwest, be ready for more wild and severe weather to follow.
