Are my tulip bulbs still good? What should I do with them?
Last fall I bought several tulip bulbs. I planted many of them in the fall, and they are coming up now.
The remainder I had planned on putting into decorative planters, but never got around to it. They were stored indoors, in paper bags. Upon inspection of the tulips today, most are dry, many have a large sprout (yellow/white in color). None have mold visable.
It’s too late to plant them for this spring. I don’t have enough room to force them in my fridge. So, what’s the best way to store them to plant in the fall. Are they worth planting?
(Also, I have no garage, which seems to be a preferred place to store them)
If they have sprouts on them then you may plant them this season and they will settle in nicely before autumn comes.
