Gaming questions!!! i need help!!?

so my dad is like making me this arena, i want to be able to do barrels,poles,key-hole,flags,figure 8…ect. i dont know how big it needs to be. like by feet. example 12 by 12 size for a stall. but yeah i need to know how many feet by how many feet. thank you so much! i also need help on what type of dirt to put in it. it is going to be an outdoor arena, i live in oregon(so it rains alot!!) i was thinking maybe sand? but idk!
i just need help on the size and what type of ground to put in it, and sutable for gaming.

American Quarter Standards set Barrels at 90 feet between 1st and 2nd barrel and 105 feet between 2nd and 3rd barrel. Distance from 3rd barrel to end of arena is 35 feet. Using a little geometry arenas must be about 240 feet long, minimum 18 feet from 1st and 2nd barrel to fence, I perfer 20 feet, about 140 feet wide. Oh yea 75 feet from start to 1st barrel. Other associations usually shorten patterns, but schooling a shorter pattern can make you horse not run as hard on the larger pattern. Schooling in too small an area can cause problems when the horse goes to a show. They get scarred.

Poles are 21 feet on center, 21 feet to first pole to timers and 35 feet minimum from pole 6 to end of arena.

Leave enough room to stop when you cross timer/start line.
