Research done on adult sleep habits show that the average time that an adult sleeps is marginally over six hours, and that adults typically spend seven to nine hours in bed each day. Our sleep patterns change with advancing age, and especially as we head into the fifties, we are more likely to suffer from disturbed sleep.
