David Is close. The Judy Garland reference is because of the “Stonewall riots” This is a Manhattan bar that the cops tried to break up a gay bar in the late 60′s and the gays fought back. This happened the last Sunday in June which is why gays celebrate gay pride the last Sunday in June. The JG reference is two fold. One is the obvious over the rainbow; the second is because she died that very same day which is why so many gays were at the “Stonewall” to begin with. That’s the real full story.
