Poster Tapestry

What can I do to cover my kids walls if I am not allowed to paint because I rent…?
although I am about to go ahead and just do it…
I lived here for four years and the landlord still says they look fine.. they haven’t been painted in then and the tenant before smoked..
I think they are plaster and wouldn’t mind hanging tapestries.. but am not sure how.. or cover a wall in posters… fabrics.. w/e ever ..ideas would make my day because I am stuck and it is darn hard to put a nail or tack in the wall w/o bending it
In my very first apartment there were two huge walls of red brick, and I couldn’t make any holes in them…so I got some wooden garden trellis and secured them from the ceiling and hung artificial flowers and baskets on them, everyone that came over thought it looked great and the best part was the decor was easy to change for each season just by adding or replacing the flowers and basket which were secured with twist ties and zip ties, you could hang anything that interests your kid, sports items, flags, blow up beach stuff for a cool summery theme, add some beach towels and an umbrella for a great look.
