How to post an affiliate banner in an ad or signature?

PLEASE HELP! I have this webpage address that has banners I can use to promote but I do not know how to get all the web address to convert to the banner once I copy it as is to my signature or an ad page. How does this convert after you copy the banner as is????? This banner cpying and posting is so complicated!
