How do you get cigarette smell out of a coat?

My mom just gave me a new coat. Unfortunately, she smokes a lot, so the coat smells strongly of cigarettes from being at her house. I’m a non-smoker and don’t want to smell like cigarettes. Is there a cheap and easy way for me to get the cigarette smell out of the coat without ruining it? (It’s made of nylon, polyester, acrylic, & down feathers.)

FIll the tub with hot steamy water and throw in a cup or two of vinegar. Then hang the coat above and let it steam. Vinegar will neutralize the odors.
