Not Forgotten

Not Forgotten
Who is the philosopher that believed that a person does not truly die until they are forgotten?

Or, what is the philosophy? I learned about this about a year ago and it is really important that I figure it out. I just remember my professor discussing how a person did not truly die until the memory of the deceased it forgotten. Please help! Thank you :)

I don’t really sure in my answer but I give it a try anyway.
John Locke might be the philosopher your teacher mentioning. No way for sure because each philosopher teacher ave their own way of absorb and explain philosophy concept that are unique to them. (I have the exp once, two teacher explain the concept of Baruch Spinoza so different I thought I misread the text somehow).
Back to main topic, John Locke believe that our-self consist of our memory. We are who we remember, to put in simple way.
_ If we can no longer remember what we committed in the past, the person committed the act are the entire person (That person is dead).

This dryly funny mockumentary about the lost work of a pioneering New Zealand film genius is probably one of the best examples of the faux-documentary genre. In fact, it was so successful that when it originally aired on New Zealand television, hundreds of viewers bought the premise hook, line, and sinker. If you didn’t know any better yourself, it’s entirely possible you might be duped into belie…
