Mini Flags

How do I keep a mini garden flag from flying away in the wind? I’ve lost so many flags!?

I am referring to those mini garden flags that hang on a black iron post thingie. The end where you insert the flag has a curved hook, but in high winds, it stills manages to get free… never to be seen again. I just lost another one after it was up for a whopping two days. This is getting expensive. I really like the look of the flags and don’t want to get rid of it. Any ideas? It seems to be windy so often these days, and I don’t remember to take the flag inside. I went outside last night at 2:00 AM in hopes of salvaging it, but it was too late. Thanks for the tips!

can you tape it to the iron piece so it doesn’t come out.thats all i can think of masking tape duct tape would work better but you will have to put it so it looks half way decent.or can you stick something in the curved hook so the flag doesn’t get out.
