Punkers what do you think about the whole “metal”core and deathcore trend?

I never understand why they call it hardcore when all of them don’t sound like any hardcore band I listen to (DRI /suicidal tendencies/black flag/the exploited/etc etc….

They’re not really my sort of thing. That’s not to say that all bands coming out of those genres are terrible, by default.
