Marines Military
Want to join the FBI in the future… Should I go in the Military Police or Marines?
Hi, im currently 17.
My plan is to go in either the MPs or Marines for 4 years. Then hopefully stanford. Which would be the best option for me the Military Police or the Marines. While the military police seems the most logical choice as in investigations etc, but would i get more combat experience in the marines?
Is the combat experience in the Military Police sufficient?
Roughly what percentage of FBI field agents have military experience?

You should go get a law degree. As the FBI requires more than just an undergraduate degree.
Most MPs, like most cops anywhere are traffic cops, operate the drunk tanks and settle domestic disputes. No cop would expect to be a detective, investigating actual crime in four years, so it is foolish to think an MP would be doing this. Short of entering the marines with a degree in law enforcement, you’re not getting this job in standard six year enlistment. You’re more likely to get a rifle and go to Afghanistan.
