Marine Corps Flag
How do I get a US Marine Corps flag?

Dad wants one for his casket.

When receiving full military honors at a funeral, the AMERICAN flag is supplied. I’ve been to many military funerals for all branches since I became a Patriot Guard Rider and have never seen a branch flag draped on the coffin.
To get a full military service, you might be requested to produce a copy of his DD-214. You can have him get a copy now by going to (and it’s free):

http://www.archives.gov/veterans/evetrecs/index.html

You can buy a U.S. Marine flag by going to google.com and search for it, OR by going to www.sgtgrit.com (don’t forget to sign up for their news letter and keep a box of tissues by the computer while you read them because some are very touching, even to this old retires swabby).
Go to http://www.patriotguard.org/ and click on Photo Gallery (left hand column). We’d be proud to stand for your father when his time comes. All you have to do is go to CONTACT US (left hand column) to set up a honor mission (it’s all free, we’re all volunteers standing for those who have stood for us).
