what do i do with a earth electrode when laying a foundation for a porch on my house?

There is a earth electrode sw1 6000 kg on the front of my house. This is in front of a gas meter. I wish to get the gas meter moved. then pour a concrete footings for a large porch.
Im not sure about the electrode.
Any help would be great.

the earth electrode (ground) should be kept intact at it’s present location and possibly another new ground should be installed with the new gas service location. Consult with local building dept. and your local gas company. When you pull a permit for your project this will be one issue of the process. For more info on Earthing see
