Why was Roy Williams wearing a shirt bearing the Kansas Jayhawks on it?

I know he used to coach there but his team just lost to them.

It was actually a Jayhawk sticker on a shirt. Similar to what Dean Smith wore at the 2003 Final Four. Dean Smith who the same week came calling for Kansas’ coach Roy. Dean Smith who said it was time for Roy to “come back home”. Dean Smith who said Roy was the only one who could turn the UNC program around. I wonder where Roy would have gotten the idea of wearing the sticker. Maybe Roy felt he needed to pay back to the Jayhawk Nation, or maybe a 3 year-old gave the sticker to him. I don’t know and I don’t care. When Roy left KU to go to UNC, Tarheel fans said to “get over it”. He was going home. Well Tarheel fans, “Get Over It”. Roy was just on a 1 day vacation to a place that at one time held the top spot in his heart. I am sure UNC is tops now, and to hear some fans think Roy threw the game is insane. If you really think about it I bet 95% of you Tarheel fans are glad you have Roy as your coach. The rest will probably never be happy.
