Italy Italian

Italy Italian
What is a first date like in Italy? For an Italian in America?

I have read some literature saying first dates in Italy are much different than in America. That Italians stay in groups and will not romantically go out one-on-one for some time after meeting. How accurate is this?
What about Italians in America? If an Italian man meets an American woman in the USA, and they do not know the same people, would he ask her on an american-style date?
Please give me all the detail you know!

Sorry, but I don’t think there’s a general rule! Every boy and every girls does what he/she wants: what does it mean “Italian” or “American”?
I’m Italian, I live in Italy (Milan), I’ve been with my boyfriend for 5 years: when we firstly dated, we were one-on-one. And now, too: we haven’t friends in common. I have mine, he has his.
But those are US!!! Other people have different behaviour!
