What does “God Bless America,” really mean?

First of all, I love America as much as anyone, but I’m not Christian, but I do say God Bless America sometimes. What, does it really mean? How could God bless one part of the earth more than the other? When they say “God” are they talking about the Christian God? If tomorrow a state seceded, will it still be blessed? Is it weird that we think that because groups of people drew a political line, God blessed one side of it more than the other? Just want to know, thanks!

in reality, we do better than the middle east because we shed so much dogma and thus have better technology, whereas in the middle east they literally live in their own sh!t.
