Francisco Giants

What possible curses did the San Francisco Giants break last night?
Whether or not you believe in curses, you can make up a curse for every team. Since the Giants last won in 1954, what are some curses that could have prevented them from winning through those 56 years?
Be original and creative. However, do not name the curse “The Curse of San Francisco” or anything like that……..that’s too easy. Just think of what has happened in between those 56 years.
(1) The “curse of the bay” or the “Candlestick curse” People over the years have always brought forth the weather of the bay keeping them from winning! (2) The “curse of the Polo Grounds” due to the fact many New Yorkers cursed the day the left town! (3) The “Shot Heard ‘Round the World curse” The way the Giants over took the Dodgers in 1951. The Giants trailed the Dodgers by 13.5 games on Aug. 11 and won the pennant on Bobby Thompson’s homer, is one of the most memorable moments in baseball! (4) The “Dodgers curse” The Dodgers vs. Giants rivalry has been going on since the late 1890′s. Many people think that the Dodgers have owned them since the Giants followed them to California but they haven’t – LA 458 wins vs SF 425 wins since 1960, LA 1149 wins vs SF 1171 wins and 17 ties since 1890 and the both have won 21 NL pennants! (5) The “cultural curse” much like how the social/economic/cultural differences between the residents of Brooklyn and Manhattan created heightened fervor among each fan base, so too did the differences between those living in Los Angeles and San Francisco. LA embodied the Hollywood image and all that comes along with that, while SF strove to be the cultural and progressive capital of the West. Both cities compete for the economic and cultural crown of California.
