I need an airline to fly my pitt bull from Ohio to Florida?

I have an 80lb pitt bull that i need to fly home to me, but i cant find an airline to ship him. Continental doesnt accept pitt bulls at all, southwest doesnt ship animals, and neither does us airways. Im starting to panic!

I worked in the airline industry for years and here is my best suggestion.

SKIP – calling commerical airlines reservations!!

START WITH – Cargo! Look on the net, or in your yellow pages under Cargo. Go that route for sure!

And here is a big suggestion, when you go there to make the arrangements, DO NOT tell them it is a pit bull. I would just say, you have an 80lb dog. Who knows if the shipper has discretion over what they ship, but as you probably have learned already, people FEAR pitt bulls. So just say an “80 lb dog”.

Most of the airlines have changed their rules about animals flying, but please use CARGO!
