What side of the porch do I fly my flag?

Does it matter if it’s to the left or right side of the steps?

well this depends if your going to fly a 2nd flag – such as another countries flag, state or decorative flag on the opposite side of the porch.,..

if your just going to fly the US flag alone – then it does not matter which side of the porch it is on- and i would choose the side where it is least likely to be in the way

if your going to fly 2 flags one on each side – the US flag needs to be on its own right
which means that when you are outside looking at your house the US flag would be on the left side of the porch and the other flag on the right.
