What should I wear to my husband’s Holiday work party?

I am so confused as to what I should wear! The invitation has a monogram of a couple REALLY dressed up. It looks like she is wearing an evening gown. I had my husband ask his at work what the proper attire is for the event and they told him “your Sunday best”. Okay, so I am wondering if I can get away with wearing black dress pants and a nice top? I would like to wear a dress but I don’t feel that I have the figure for it at the moment! LOL Since my son was born I can’t seem to get rid of my unwanted belly. If anyone has any pictures of dresses that might be flattering for my body type(that conceals belly flag(yikes!), let me know! THANKS!
