First Navy

Can I leave the Navy DEP before bootcamp to pursue college first and then join Navy after college?
I want to know if leaving the Navy DEP program will prevent me or hinder me from joining the military after college. I am due to leave for bootcamp in July of this year, but I have heard I can withdraw from the DEP if I have good reason such as wanting to pursue higher education. But I do want to join after college and make a career out of the Navy as an officer. Will leaving the DEP hurt my ability to join after college??
in one word NO.. DEP doesnt mean anything other than your recruiter plans on you going to boot camp.. it is your choice to leave, and it will not hurt you going back to the military later.. your recruiter may try to talk you out of it or say it will hurt you but he is LIEING.. that is their job.. they dont care about you only gettin their numbers for the month..
