How To Make A Funeral Bunting Flag

A half fan is flag bunting is a popular decoration for all patriotic holidays like the July Fourth, Veterans Day, Memorial Day and Election Day. With the colorful strips, the complicated collection of the folds and the curves, fan bunting looks can be complicated. It is necessary to use a proper pair of the scissor and sewing machine and make this project possible. However, in case of the funeral bunting flag, the process is still the same, only there are certain parameters you need to follow for making such bunting flag.

It is necessary to decide the width of the funeral bunting flag. This is the number on which the base of the dimension depends. For example, if you want 30 inches wide then 30 should be the base number. Therefore, the width of the panel should be half of the base number. 15 should be the width of the panel. On the other hand, the length of the panel should also be the same.

The fabric strips can be easily divided among the width of the panel. For example if the width of the panel is about 15 inches wide, so there will be five 3 inches wide strips and that equals to 15 inches panel. You also need to add one inch of seam allowance to each of the strip. So in this example you can cut five strips that are 4 inches wide. All the color of the strips will sum up the design sense.

Allow all the strips to lay out in a pleasing pattern and decide in which way you can sew them. You can sew each of the strips to the adjoining strips that will allow at least half inch seaming. Hem all the sides of the resulting panel and then fold the edge under the one fourth inches and then sew a seam along the fold that will catch the edges together.

Put the panel on the ironing board and press all the seams to make them flat. You can turn the panel over so that the right side remains up. You can find the number to divide the panel instrument into equal sections and this time it will be the length. The panel is 45 inches long and each section of 5 inches will work separately. For better results, you can even try out with 4 to 7 inches.

All panels should be sprayed to create sharp folds for the funeral bunting flags. One side should fold with an exactly 5 inch mark. You can use the iron for creating sharp crease at this point. The fabric should be folded back to the side of the panel. This should be continued until the fold is already done and the entire length of the panel is finally creased.

Then, the folded fans can be attached with children and all the layers can be folded back to the position. This will help to get the needle through them and threads can be inserted as possible thus completing a funeral bunting flag.
