i have a white spidery looking stuff on my plants and its making the leaves fall off?

its like sticky white and web like stuff on my plants the leaves turn brown and fall off .its next to the stem part and where the leaves grow out of the stem. On some other plants the leaves are just turning yellow and falling off. could it be the soil is bad?

You have spider mites. They are extremely tiny, you need a magnifying glass to see them. Look on the stems, webs and underside of the leaves with a strong light. They might look like specks of dust, but if you watch for a little while you can see them move. Use insecticide made for spider mites, because they are related to spiders, not other insects. Or, you can spray your plants well and often, but this does not always work. They spread easily to other plants too. The easiest way to get rid of them is throw out the plants and get new ones. I know, I’ve tried.
