Can you embroider neatly on a 50 poly/50 rayon fabric?

Is this a good fabric for embroidering? I am trying to decide which kind of fabric to use to make my kids some personalized pillows. I found one that is 50 poly/50 rayon linen look fabric. Thanks for you help!
I am doing machine embroidery and am not sure which fabric to pick to make my children’s pillows with. I want to make 2 each, on that can be used and one that is decor that won’t be used. Thanks so much for all your help!

The blend should not matter – stabilizer choice and the density of the design does.

I do not like Sticky Back – it gums the needles and breaks the thread.

I do like to use a temporary spray adhesive (see Sulky) to help anchor the fabric to the stabilizer – no gumming and the adhesive will dissipate, or you can wash it out.

Pre wash and dry the fabric before embroidering.

Buy extra so you can test the design and stabilizer.

One layer of light weight tear-away may be enough. It not, use two layers.
