Replacing lightbulbs that have been discontinued?

Hi, I need to replace 5-inch clear globe lightbulbs from a 30-year old light fixture. They say 25W 120 5v Dura-Lite. I cannot find that bulb anywhere. What can I safely replace with that is available now? Thanks!

That sounds like a fixture I used to have in my bathroom. I found 25W clear, round bulbs at Wal-Mart in their bathroom accessories. As long as you don’t go over 25W for the old fixture you should be okay. These bulbs aren’t coated and they aren’t egg-shaped, they are clear and round. Look for them in both the light bulbs and the bathroom accessories.
