Found our pet dog in garden shaking and traumatised. No sign of bite and garden is private.Any ideas? ?

Dog is jack russel/patterdale cross and usually very lively.

If she’s absolutely OK now (gums are nice and pink, acting normally, no vomiting, diarrhea, eating, drinking, no coughing, lethargy) then you may just have to wait and see if it happens again.

At this point, there is no real way to tell if it was medical or environmental. It could have been an animal, or a seizure, for example. If it was a seizure, and you brought her in now (assuming she is completely normal now) they’ll tell you to wait and see if it happens again.

If she is NOT OK now, I would absolutely haul her in to your vet just in case it would be stroke, or ingestion of a toxic substance.
