Are the boats that were destroyed and the dead men still in the waters on Pearl Harbor today?

or did they take them all out? my sister said it was a legend that when you go there, you can still hear screaming(obviusly not true)

Greetings! There’s two parts to answering this question. First, all but three ships that were attacked in Pearl Harbor were either raised, repaired or were able to be scuttled (while the Japanese reeked havoc on the ships and the airfields, they mistakenly left the dry docks, fuel depots and support facilities virtually untouched). The three ships that remain underwater are the UTAH, ARIZONA…the name of the third ship escapes me. I’ll look it up and edit this later.

Most of the people killed were aboard the ARIZONA and yes, their bodies are still entombed inside the ship. I am sure that it is the same with the other ships still at the bottom of the harbor.

CORRECTION: I went online to research the name of the remaining ship. The reason it didn’t come to mind is because there wasn’t a third ship. Only the ARIZONA and UTAH remain at the bottom of Pearl Harbor.
