Christmas is celebrated on 25 December of every year in remembrance of the birth of Jesus, the central figure of Christianity. Christmas is celebrated with high spirits and complete fun in various parts of the world. Though the mode of celebration, the dates, ideas and the traditions vary but the spirit remains the same everywhere. Christmas trees, lights, christmas holidays, Christmas Santa and many other have become the part of Christmas celebration. Christmas is celebrated along traditional families and lines often travel great distances to be together. Christmas is one of the dazzling festivals of western countries celebrated with complete fun and fervor. During christmas, most of the people starts planning before two months ago and celebrate it as a festive season spreading over a week and some people of western culture, treat it as a month of long festival that starts with the Advent on Sunday next to 26 November and ends on 6 January with the feast of Epiphany.

Christmas is the most important festival for the Christian community. Christians in all over the world usually decorate their houses, having get together parties with family members, friends and near ones. People decorate their houses and churches with different flowers for the midnight mass. Churches around the world often have an evening service on Christmas and are fabulously decorated with candles and poinsettias. Christmas caroling processions on streets and thorough fares can also be seen. While decoration, christmas flowers, christmas ornaments and decorations accessories have played an important role during Christmas celebration. Besides these small light oil burning lamps, red flowers, decorated banana or mango trees, Christmas saying and Christmas symbols all are playing vital role during the occasion of christmas celebration. During this occasion all the stores and markets are well decorated with artificial lights and jam-packed with different types of christmas gifts and greetings cards.

During Christmas you will find all the hotels, bars, pubs, restaurants, party halls and other beach places in South India are in celebration mood, fitted with party accessories and here you will find all the streets and houses decorated with artificial lights, candles and small clay lamps and all the tourist destinations in South India are jam-packed with tourists coming from different countries of the world for celebrating the event of Christmas.
