What portion of my income can California tax me for after I leave the state?
I moved from California to Florida on October 3 of this year. Do I only pay California state taxes on the income I earned while I was a resident of California or do I have to pay state taxes for all income earned over the course of the year even after I left the state?
You are taxed on your California source income. You will file Form 540-NR
