Rear Fender Hung Hardware Question?

Has reader seen anyone use welded art panels, sold as
wall decoration, fixed to either side of rear tire just like the
saddlebag mounting hardware? But instead of leatherwork usually seen elsewhere one uses hooked shock cord to bind
gear in colored nylon stuff-sacks as needed or just rides with
cool metal sculpture naked in the breeze? I was looking at
Internet metal art sales & saw some jazzy steel work that’s unlikely to trash itself or damage wheel if my M/C falls over.
I thought two12x18 inch pieces would be an easy clamp job.

Fine idea.
I would recommend bolting them on instead of clamping or welding.
