A couple weeks ago I asked about my boat being hard to turn left?
I had 3 great answers that alluded to the issue and how to correct. However, i think it was deleted cuz i didnt flag an answer. Anyway, i reckoned that i needed to rotate the skeg plate located above the prop. But i cant remember which way (clockwise or counter clockwise) to compensate… I do remember that it was trial and error as to how much though.
When standing behind the outboard, facing the bow, turn the tab to the left to correct hard steering to the left, and to the right to correct pulling to the right. It’s a good idea to mark the original position before making any adjustments.
