What are some Army /Navy MOS’s that transfer to a high paying civilian job?

What are some of the best JOB’s to take in the Army or the Navy? Does anyone have any good advice?

The top poster is correct. Navy nukes can leave after their 6 year enlistment and start working in a commercial nuke plant almost right away. Within two years, the average ex-navy nuke can be making 6 figures a year (with over time) if they have no limits on where they want to live. This pay is without any college degree.

If you don’t want to leave after 6 years, you can currently reenlist for 2 more years (serving a total of and get a $75,000 reenlistment bonus. Even with such high reenlistment bonuses, the vast majority of nukes get out at the end of their first enlistment. The job is just too stressful at times. I turned down a $89,000 bonus to stay a nuke, but decided to transfer to another navy job instead. Happiness sometimes has no price tag.
